Across Africa, adolescents stand at a crossroads—facing poverty, trauma, and exclusion. Through Bridging for Futures, FCI Mission Africa is mobilizing a pan-African faith movement to walk with them, build bridges of hope, and unlock pathways to leadership, dignity, and destiny. The SHE Programme ensures they not only survive—but thrive and lead.
Bridging for Futures – In Their Footsteps Consortium is FCI Mission Africa’s Pan-African faith-led initiative uniting Protestant, Evangelical, Pentecostal, African Instituted Churches, Muslim, and other faith communities to walk with and for vulnerable adolescents. Anchored in the bridge metaphor, this movement mobilizes faith institutions to become bridges of hope—helping adolescents cross from adversity to purpose.
Implemented through Adolescent Wellness Centers (AWCs) located within churches, mosques, and faith-run spaces, the program delivers the SHE Programme((Social-Spiritual, Health, Economic-Environment) —a holistic model that supports adolescents to:
Survive through health and safety interventions.
Thrive through psychosocial and economic empowerment.
Lead by cultivating agency, leadership, and purpose.
These scriptures affirm the church’s mandate to walk alongside adolescents, bridging them toward healing, dignity, and destiny.
